Getting the Seamless Glam Session on Your Wedding Morning
Some obvious, and not so obvious things to make your wedding morning glam session (:chef-kiss:), perfection.
CLUTTER: Be sure the room is clean and clear of clutter for when your photographer to arrives. No one wants wedding morning pictures that look like a dorm room!
FOOD: Eat, EAT! Pace your alcohol intake and balance it with plenty of water… trust us, the day is a marathon, not a sprint.
GIFTS: If you’re gifting things like robes or shirts, give those out the night before so your bridal crew can arrive at glam with it on. This saves them from having extra things in the room and reduces our first point on clutter (also, saves time keeping everything on schedule).
DETAILS: Have your details set and ready for your photographer so you don’t have to leave the chair when you’re getting glammed!
CANDIDS: Have people capture candid shots! Girls in the Bridal party, tag your Bride bestie! She will appreciate it the next morning to relive the best day that goes by WAY too fast!
SCHEDULE: Know your glam schedule! Know ahead of time who is going up for hair or makeup next. Make sure the Bridal party is informed and aware. Time is valuable!
INSPO: Have pictures of inspiration set as your first pic, home screen, or in an album for quick access so you can easily share your desired look and not scroll through thousands of photos.
STEAM: Any steaming needed on clothes should be done the night before, and most definitely, BEFORE hair OR makeup is done. The humidity will 100% affect your look.
HAND-OFF: Hand off the important messages to your maid of honor, send the vendors their number so you’re not connected to your phone the whole day. This includes us! We will message you (maid of honor) in the morning to let you know we are on our way!
HOTELS: If your getting ready at a hotel, share the room number with your glam artists in davance. If parking is paid onsite, bill it to the room before arrival (can do it well in advance so you’re not thinking about it).
PARKING: Share the best places to park with your glam team so that they can be out of there without interruption when you and your party are ready and looking smashing!
MONEY: Have payments and gratuities for your planner, vendors, etc. prepared or paid the night before or in advance.
BREATHE: Breathe! When it’s your time (bride) for glam, you can request to be away in a quiet space or with your crew, but this is your ZEN moment to be calm before the beautiful storm. Those nerves tend to hit when the photographer enters and flowers arrive; and we want you calm and beautiful!
VIBES: GOOD VIBES ONLY! For those in the Bridal party, hype up your Bride-to-be all day! Get excited, have fun, make some memories, build a shared playlist, bring a speaker! Set the tone girls! Let’s go!!!
